Each year, January is recognized nationally as "Crime Stoppers Month".  The theme across Canada this year was EMPOWERING THROUGH EDUCATION. PREVENTING THROUGH ACTION. Hosted at York Regional Police HQ, this year's conference focused on celebrating 2024 milestones, unveiled Crime Stoppers of York Regions’ initiatives for 2025, and also delved into the most wanted suspects from York Regional Police's Hold Up Squad. Guest speakers addressed emerging crime trends, crime prevention information for safeguarding communities as well as revealed a social media campaign to combat sexploitation of teens.
