On April 29, 2013 at approximately 10:30 p.m. police responded to a large house fire near the intersection of 16th Avenue and Highway #48 in the City of Markham. The location is a new development site, still under construction which is not accessible to the public. The fire caused over 1.2 million dollars in damage and resulted in a total loss of the building. The Fire Marshall’s office has determined that this fire is an arson. There are currently no suspects.
