On Thursday, February 4, 2010, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a male suspect entered the Toronto Dominion Bank located at 231 Main Street. He jumped over the counter, pushed the teller out of the way and removed an unknown quantity of cash from two separate money drawers. He placed it in his own bag and then fled the bank in an unknown direction. No weapon was seen or indicated.
The first robbery occurred on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at approximately 10 a.m., when the male suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the Royal Bank located at 8165 Yonge Street. He approached a teller and made a demand for money. As the teller was complying with his demand, the suspect jumped over the counter and removed an unknown quantity of money from a second money drawer. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries during this incident.
SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION:
• Male, white, 50 to 60 years
• 6’, 150 to 155 lbs.
• Wearing a dark winter jacket, blue jeans and a red baseball cap
• Prescription glasses with white or silver frames
