On Sunday, December 27th, 2009 between 1:00 and 2:00 am the victim was walking home west bound on St. John's Sideroad, in the Town of Aurora. Between Bayview Avenue and Industrial Parkway North he was approached by a male and a female in a vehicle. The suspects thought that the victim had thrown snowballs at their vehicle and confronted him at that time. The victim managed to get away but was again approached by the suspects further west on St. John's Sideroad. At that time, unknown witnesses pulled up in a dark coloured SUV to see if they could assist. After a brief conversation all parties separated and went their own way.

A few minutes later the suspects returned, and another male suspect approached from the golf course area north of St. John's Sideroad. It was at this time that the two male suspects assaulted the victim by punching him in the facial area numerous times, while the female watched nearby. After the assault, all suspects fled in a silver car believed to be a 2000-2005 Honda or Acura, with a spoiler on the back. The vehicle was also had a large sub-woofer playing music really loudly.
