1. Tipster calls 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or can go online to www.1800222tips.com. *Free call on payphone*

2. Crime Stoppers receives information anonymously – no personal information taken, no call display, encrypted email

3. Information is passed to York Regional Police Investigators to look into crime and to perform their own investigation on the information provided by tipster.

4. • York Regional Police find enough evidence to arrest and lay charges against suspect(s). Investigators relay information to Crime Stoppers to determine reward for tipster.
   • OR Investigators inform Crime Stoppers that not enough information to proceed with arrest or charges.
